Daisuke was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan, and has over 20 years of experience in fine dining, training in Michelin-starred and renowned restaurants in Kyoto and Tokyo.
He moved to the Gold Coast in 2009 and has earned 5 Chef Hat Awards since becoming a Head Chef in 2011. Daisuke has cooked for former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Iron Chef Hiroyuki Sakai during events in Malaysia and Australia.
In 2017, he moved to Melbourne to help open the acclaimed Japanese restaurant "Kisume" as Senior Sous Chef, later leading kitchens at "Ichi Ni Nana" and "Nobu." He’s also been featured on SBS Food for his classic Japanese dishes.
Now, Chef Daisuke brings his passion and expertise directly to your table with his handcrafted sushi platters.
